Letter from the Program Director

Aesthetic practice today is no longer defined by surgery alone.

Patients increasingly seek treatments that address skin quality, aging patterns, facial balance, and hair restoration, often before they ever consider a surgical intervention. This shift has expanded aesthetics into a space where dermatology-driven procedures play a central role in patient outcomes.

Yet, most plastic surgeons are not formally trained in this side of practice.

The Fellowship in Skin & Aesthetic Science is designed to bridge this gap, bringing together skin, aging, facial balance, hair, and non-surgical interventions into a structured, clinically grounded learning pathway. Through focused theory, case-based reasoning, live academic interaction, and modular hands-on training, the program enables surgeons to build a more complete and contemporary aesthetic practice.

This is not about moving away from surgery. It is about strengthening what surrounds it.
